People like photographer Nikola Tamindzic remind me of that with their true artistic nature and highly provoking work. His photographs are quite theatrical and a bit surreal. When looking at his portraits is like standing before a painting. His work has a bit of the quality of the Northern masters (Odd Nerdum, Bruegel, Rembrandt) somehow allegoric and with a sense of another time....

Fashion show at Toni&Guy salon

This was a Hair/Fashion show at Toni&Guy salon where Etoile jewelry was invited to be a part of. The hair was done by the talented Carolina Medina who is one of the well known hair Goddesses of Hollywood. The show had a quite dark and avant-garde style... A modern atmosphere and a nice crowd is all you need to comprehend high-fashion :)

Couple days ago I had one of the most interesting photo shoots with Dublin based photographer Gerry Balfe Smith. He is very inspiring artist to work with. We shoot on location in Downtown Los Angeles right across Walt Disney Hall. The idea was to create a futuristic like enviroment where there are no humans and everything is alienated,cold ond empty looking.

The whole crew was absolutely amazing. On set I had the honor to work with some really talanted people. The make up was done by the Oscar winning artist Michele Burke, she worked on movies like Interview with the Vampire, Vanilla Sky, The Cell, Austin Powers in Goldmember just to name a few. The styling was done by Lux Roy who formerly hosted a radio show with the Queen of myspace Christine Dolce.

Here's Etoile Jewelry featured above in the award winning Britney Spears video Piece of Me, directed by Wayne Isham, who also directed videos for Avril Lavine, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Ricky Martin. The song was recorded for her fifth album, Blackout. The song's lyrics are a response to the constant media scrutiny and sensationalism of Spears's private life. I was contacted by the lovely stylist Marina Toybina to have my pieces featured on Britney. The necklace made in silver, resembles a fish bone and symbolizes the bare bones that can be left of a person from the wear and tear of society, which is also reflective in the video Piece of me.
